Some kind of major midi problem is being caused by Nora and I'm completely baffled. I'm also now experiencing the CPU "Performance" bar spiking into the red very quickly when I press play and stop with the spacebar, and also pressing stop with the spacebar is actually triggering notes within whatever VST instrument I have hooked up with Nora. It leads me to believe that there is a setting somewhere within Nora or even within the DAW that I need to change as I have only being using Studio One for around a week so maybe something isn't set correctly? I've looked through Nora's setting and there doesn't appear to be anything that can be changed with regard to midi so it's a little weird that it's behaving this way, if I hadn't seen the videos on Youtube of Nora working in Studio One and then your message saying you have it working I would've just assumed it isn't compatible. If I open up the inbuilt keyboard on Presence and click some notes with my mouse those notes jam and hang until I press "All Notes Off" on the midi monitor, but if I take Nora off the 1st track and then play notes on Presence' keyboard the notes play fine, so it looks like something within Nora is making the notes hang on whichever instrument I try to use it with, if that makes sense? It's just random notes the whole length of the keyboard. I've uploaded an image of the piano roll on Presence' track and as you can see there are a load of notes stuck down along the whole length of the piano roll even once I've pressed stop, and the notes that are stuck aren't even the notes that have been drawn into Nora. It's like the notes are staying open/hanging and then more are just getting added at every pass but still with no arpeggio. So, the way you have it set up is how I have it except that I don't have "CH1" showing next to Presence in the track bar and I have no option of any midi channel as you can see in the image I've uploaded.Īlso when I hit play I just get a few straight notes playing with no arpeggio and then as soon as the loop cycles back around to start again more notes get added on top of the ones already playing and then I just get a load of noise. Thanks for your reply I really do appreciate you taking time to look at this for me. Hi Brian, (see "EDIT 2" at bottom of page) I've spent hours on this so any help from someone using this VST would be hugely appreciated. When I look in the piano roll loads of notes up and down the keyboard are still depressed even though there is no midi playing so I'm thinking I may possibly have some kind of midi setting wrong within the DAW or within Nora as the notes are just hanging endlessly and this happens on whichever VST I try to use. I then press play and get no arpeggiated pattern just a note or two from Presence which then hang and then a load of noise occurs so I have to go to the midi monitor and press All Notes Off. Then track 1 (Nora) is record armed with monitor button engaged and track 2 (Presence) has monitor button engaged. I then click on track 1 (Nora) and draw some notes in the piano roll and drag an arp preset onto Nora. Track 2 : Presence with Nora as the input. I've even tried using it on Mai Tai or Presence. There are some video on Youtube with people setting up and using this plugin in Studio One 3 and I have followed them to the letter but I am having major midi note hanging problems with whatever VST I try to arpeggiate and it's not even an arpeggiated sound I'm getting, just straight notes playing. Instead, you can do it in FLV, VST, or MIDI.I'm having major midi problems trying to use Nora arpeggiator in Studio One 3. Linux MultiMedia Studio is a very comprehensive music creation tool whose only hitch, if you had to name one, is that it doesn't let you export your projects in MP3 format. Again, both by hand as well as using the appropriate tools. You can load in dozens of instruments and add hundreds of sounds from the mixing deck. In addition to this, Linux MultiMedia Studio includes a 64 channel FX mixer that supports tons of different effects. Although obviously you can also import any OGG or WAV file and work with it in any of the windows on the interface. These keyboards can be controlled both by hand as well as by a specialized MIDI keyboard. The program includes different keyboards for sounds and effects that you can play around with when creating music. The advantage of this is that, depending on what you're trying to make (a beat, bass, or simple melody.), you can have more or less windows open. The first thing about Linux MultiMedia Studio that calls your attention is the quantity of windows of all the necessary music creation tools that can be open simultaneously. Linux MultiMedia Studio (LMMS) is a music creation tool similar to FL Studio (with which it's compatible) that lets you produce music from scratch using an intuitive yet very comprehensive interface that's packed with features and also supports MIDI keyboards and other specialized peripherals.
